Winter Coat Drive 2023

The Monarch Internship & Co-op Office organized a heartwarming Winter Coat Drive from December 4th to 8th, spreading warmth and goodwill across campus. Strategically placing three donation boxes at various locations, students and faculty were encouraged to contribute to the cause. To add a touch of excitement and gratitude, each donation served as an entry into our raffle, transforming the act of giving into a chance to receive. This initiative not only aimed to collect essential winter wear for those in need but also fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility within the Monarch network.

We successfully collected 42 coats during the Winter Coat Drive. After ensuring each coat was cleaned and refreshed, we proudly displayed them on a rack outside Monarch Way. This allowed individuals in need to freely grab a warm coat, turning our collective efforts into a tangible display of community care and support.

To amplify awareness, I crafted an informative flyer, ensuring that every student knew they could avail themselves of a coat, free of charge. This simple yet impactful communication aimed to bridge the gap between generosity and those in need, fostering a spirit of warmth within our campus community.

Strategically placed across campus, these donation boxes offered convenient drop-off points for students and faculty to contribute to the Winter Coat Drive. To enhance outreach, a thoughtfully crafted email announcement was sent out to faculty and advisors, enlisting their support in informing students about this meaningful campaign. This collaborative effort aimed to create a unified and compassionate campus community participating in the Winter Coat Drive.
