Skills & Competencies
Professionalism / Work Ethic
I have consistently balanced multiple jobs while maintaining a 3.8 GPA, which demonstrates my commitment and strong work ethic. Managing these responsibilities required careful time management, organization, and discipline. I value the ability to stay reliable and meet expectations under pressure. This experience has prepared me to handle demanding workloads in a professional setting. In the future, I plan to apply these skills to consistently deliver high-quality work in my career.

Communication
During my internships, I have acted as a bridge between students, faculty, and office staff, coordinating appointments and responding to inquiries via email and in person. In my current IT internship, I communicate technical issues and updates to faculty in a way that is clear and understandable, ensuring they are informed throughout the troubleshooting process. I value the skill of translating technical information into plain language to help others effectively. These experiences strengthened my ability to communicate with diverse audiences and keep stakeholders informed. I plan to continue using these skills to collaborate successfully and convey complex information clearly in the workplace.
*This artifact demonstrates how I resolved a customer request to install Docker. While the email itself is simplified for clarity, behind the scenes I troubleshot the issue by using PowerShell to add the customer to both the Docker Users group and the Hyper-V Administrators group, and then enabled the Hyper-V feature in Windows. Docker launched successfully after these steps. This example illustrates my ability to handle technical troubleshooting while communicating clearly and professionally.
Critical Thinking / Problem Solving
Through my cybersecurity courses, including Linux, Digital Forensics, C++ programming, and Cryptography, I have developed strong problem-solving skills by working on labs and projects that required learning new software and coding languages. I have also had to troubleshoot technical issues on my own laptops, such as software installation problems, and figure out how to make tools like PowerShell, Command Prompt, and LaTeX work for class assignments. I value the ability to approach problems methodically and think critically under pressure. These experiences have improved my confidence in analyzing complex technical challenges and finding effective solutions.

Teamwork / Collaboration
During my IT internship, I have worked closely with colleagues both within my shop and across other IT teams on campus. One major project involved collaborating with multiple IT shops to install 70 computers for 34 dental stations in the Dental Clinic, requiring careful coordination and shared responsibilities. In addition, almost every trouble ticket involves team collaboration, as technical support tasks are often delegated and sometimes require opening sub-tickets to fully resolve issues. I value the experience of working with others to achieve shared goals and have strengthened my ability to communicate, coordinate, and contribute effectively in a team environment.
Technology / Digital Fluency
Through my coursework and internships, I have gained experience using a wide range of technical tools and software platforms. I have learned new programming languages and software for classes such as Linux, Digital Forensics, C++, and Cryptography, and I have applied these skills to complete labs and projects. In my IT internship, I regularly use technical tools to troubleshoot issues, coordinate equipment replacements, and support faculty with their technology needs. These experiences have strengthened my ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and use them effectively to solve practical problems.
